April 12th through 18th is National Library Week! It was started in 1958 by the American Library Association to increase the public’s knowledge of the value that libraries offer. This year’s theme is “Worlds connect @ your library.”
On April 7th, Mayor Bobby Lane and the Buda City Council declared this week to be National Library Week in Buda and April 17th to be National Library Workers Day with this proclamation: “I encourage the citizens of Buda to visit their local library this week to take advantage of the wonderful library resources available and thank their librarians and library workers for making information accessible to all who walk through the library’s doors.”
Thanks! We appreciate our patrons, too!
