David E. Hilton Author Visit

“In the summer of 1963, when I was thirteen, I stabbed my father in the chest with a Davy Crockett Explorers pocketknife.”

Local author David E. Hilton will be visiting the Buda Public Library on Saturday, June 11th at 2:00pm to discuss his book “Kings of Colorado” and the publishing process. “Kings of Colorado” follows a teenage boy who, after stabbing his abusive father, is sent to a reformatory camp. The camp’s business is breaking wild horses. As Will says, “the boys broke the horses, Swopes Reformatory broke the boys.” Books are available for purchase at the library for $20 and can be signed by Mr. Hilton. Refreshments will be provided.
